Geography :- Jordan is bordered to the north by Syria, to the south by Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea, to the east by Iraq and Saudi Arabia and to the west by Israel and the West Bank. To the east, the plateaus drop sharply into the Ghor depression, occupied by the Jordan. The shores of the Dead Sea are desert regions. The bottom of this high salt content lake descends to 339 meters below the water level, i.e., 739 meters below sea level.
