THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HAJJ AND UMRAH
Unlike the Hajj which has exact dates for its realization, the Umrah can be done at any time of the year, although it is advisable to do it during the months of the Pilgrimage. The performance of the Umrah is obligatory for every Muslim man and woman at least once in a lifetime. It is also important to know that the rituals involved in the realization of the Umrah are lower compared to those of the Hajj .
And with this we would have fulfilled one of the fundamental pillars of Islam as mentioned in verse 97 of the Surah of the Family of Imran:
"In it are clear signs: The station of Ibrahim; whoever enters it, he will be safe.Men are obliged to Allah to make pilgrimage to the House, if they find means to do so. And whoever refuses... Surely Allah is Rich with respect to all creatures."
